Defining retail city centres in 2030

Redevelopment of retail in city centres is in full swing. COVID-19 accelerated consumers shopping behaviour, which has an impact on the city centres as we know today. The upcoming change in functionality of city centres will reshape the boundaries of streets, squares and buildings and what people are destined to visit centres for. In this research paper we elaborate on how geospatial analysis can help to draw these indicative boundaries of Dutch retail city centres in 2030.
