Victoria’s Secret’s first Full Assortment store in the Netherlands at Koningsplein, Amsterdam

On behalf of the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund, a.s.r. real estate has handed over the keys to the retail unit at Koningsplein 2 in Amsterdam to Amarla. The unit measures more than 1400 sq. m. and includes a ground floor, first and second floor. Amarla plans to open the first Victoria’s Secret’s Full Assortment store in the Netherlands in this beautiful high-street location on the ground floor of the building. The opening of the store is scheduled for Fall 2021.

Koningsplein

The ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund is owner of the 6 historical buildings located at Koningsplein between Herengracht and Singel. The listed buildings date back partially to the 19th century and were used as retail and office spaces before the redevelopment. After historical research, the buildings were renovated with attention to detail and adapted to their new designation. It is interesting to note that the space beneath the buildings was used to create a large retail space for a supermarket. The renovation of the buildings on the side of Herengracht was completed several years ago. Arket, a formula owned by H&M, opened its first Dutch store there.

In recent years, a.s.r. real estate has been working on the redevelopment and transformation of the above-mentioned buildings into over 5,500 sq. m. of retail space and 26 apartments. a.s.r. real estate hired Top Vastgoed to be the developer on this project. FiMek estate is responsible for project management. Architectural design by Rappange & Partners Architecten b.v. CBRE is lending its services in leasing the property.
