On behalf of ASR Dutch Science Park Fund, a.s.r. real estate has purchased the new headquarters of Oldelft Ultrasound from cepezedprojects b.v. The nature-inclusive circular building, located on the TU Delft Campus, will have a LFA of 3,840 sq.m. and obtain a BREAAM Excellent certificate upon completion. Construction will commence this month, and the completed project is expected to be delivered in November 2020.
The ASR Dutch Science Park Fund, established earlier this year, has already invested on the TU Delft Campus this years, namely the Exact headquarters, directly adjacent to the A13 motorway. Both investments are closely aligned with the ASR Dutch Science Park Fund’s strategy of investing in real estate with a core risk profile on the most mature science parks in the Netherlands.
As fund director of ASR Dutch Science Park Fund Luc Joosten comments, “The Oldelft headquarters is a very fitting addition to our portfolio. We are very happy with the high quality of the building, especially in terms of sustainability, and with the future tenant, Oldelft Ultrasound. The acquisition is a good example of an investment with an attractive risk-return profile, which the ASR Dutch Science Park Fund targets on.”
Menno Rubbens, director of cepezedprojects b.v., is every bit as positive:“The new headquarters of Oldelft Ultrasound will be a state-of-the-art building for an innovative company: a real source of pride for the City of Delft and yet another jewel in the crown of the TU Delft Campus. This project once again shows how cepezed guides clients from A to Z as they achieve their real estate ambitions. Design, development and construction will all be coordinated by cepezed. Nature inclusivity and circularity are key features of Oldelft’s new headquarters.”
Rob Smallenburg, CEO of Oldelft, could not be happier with his new HQ. “We are immensely proud to be marking our 80th anniversary celebrations by break ground on our new headquarters in Delft. We can hardly wait to move in! This great building will enable us to grow further and optimize the layout of our R&D and production areas. Our employees will be thrilled with their new offices and facilities.”
