a.s.r. real estate has acquired Oudegracht 151, a distinctive retail property in Utrecht, on behalf of the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund. The building has a total area of 1,200 m² and has been fully let to & Other Stories.
The 13th century city castle is located in the busiest part of Oudegracht, one of the main shopping streets in the historic city centre. It is adjacent to Cotton Club (Oudegracht 149), which is already owned by the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund. With the acquisition of Oudegracht 151, the Fund’s retail portfolio now comprises 13 retail properties in the centre of Utrecht, spread across Oudegracht, Lange Elisabethstraat, Steenweg and Choorstraat.
Edwin van de Woestijne, fund director of the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund, said: “This unique acquisition strengthens our Fund’s superb retail portfolio of high-street locations. The ASR Dutch Retail Fund thus continues to build the best diversified retail portfolio in the Netherlands, comprising a mix of retail units in the top 10 retail cities, neighbourhood shopping centres and supermarkets.”
a.s.r. real estate was assisted commercially by CBRE. Cushman & Wakefield advised the vendor of the property.
