The 51 apartments in the new Ravelijn residential building were recently delivered to the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund. The building features 10 Friends apartments, designed to facilitate shared living for pairs of friends. Priority in the allocation of the remaining apartments has been given to over-55s, in line with the commitment of a.s.r. real estate's residential fund to improve mobility in the housing market.
The project consists of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 50m² to 90m². Tenants of the 10 Friends apartments in Ravelijn each have their own spacious bedroom and en-suite bathroom, and share a living room, kitchen and toilet. All the apartments have outdoor spaces and are heated and cooled by means of a thermal energy storage system.

From our own analysis, we know that moving by over-55s creates the optimal conditions for improving mobility in the housing market. By prioritising the over-55s in this project, the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund aims to help enhance mobility in the housing market.”
The dwellings are situated in Arent Krijtsstraat on the outskirts of Diemen and nearby Amsterdam’s popular Watergraafsmeer district. The Diemerplein shopping centre and Amsterdam’s largest sports centre, with amenities including an athletics track, football pitches, tennis courts and an ice rink, are just a few minutes away by bicycle.
The dwellings are easily accessible by public transport, bicycle and car. In front of the building there is a tram stop with a direct connection to the centre of Amsterdam and the slip road to the A10 motorway is less than one minute’s drive from the project.
