Property developer STONE22 recently completed the NEXT Delft project on the TU Delft campus, delivering it to the ASR Dutch Science Park Fund. The realisation of NEXT Delft is the result of close cooperation between the ASR Dutch Science Park Fund and TU Delft. The project was partially funded through grants from the City of Delft and the province of Zuid-Holland. Demand for sustainable office and manufacturing space is high on the TU Delft campus. As a result, NEXT Delft is almost fully leased, and there are already plans to expand the building by another 10,000 m2.
NEXT Delft has a gross floor area of approximately 10,000 m2. It offers office and manufacturing space that is ideally suited to the needs of innovative scale-ups and companies looking for a spot on the TU Delft campus. The building will also form a unique hub within the campus ecosystem. With a variety of facilities, including a conference centre, co-working and community space and catering, it will provide a host of opportunities for interaction, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
NEXT Delft is a sustainable building with several solutions to reduce fossil energy consumption, such as solar panels, a CHP system, the atrium as a natural light source and light and climate control aided by motion detection. The building is also set to receive BREEAM Excellent certification.
High demand for office and manufacturing space on TU Delft campus
Currently housing eight scale-ups and TNO’s Construction, Infra and Maritime unit, NEXT Delft is almost fully leased. There are many innovative companies that want to be part of the TU Delft campus ecosystem, with its unique opportunities for collaboration and co-creation. As a result, demand for office and manufacturing space on the TU Delft campus is high, which is why NEXT Delft’s original design already included a possible expansion of another 10,000 m2. Preparations for this addition are now underway.
