Eurail, the company behind Interrail and Eurail passes, has signed a multi-year lease for office space in Wonderwoods, the two green residential and office towers under construction by developer G&S& on Utrecht’s Croeselaan. From 1 July next year, this will give Eurail the most fitting of office locations: just a stone’s throw from Utrecht Central Station, the beating heart of the Dutch rail network.
Eurail will lease the entire fifth floor of the 11-storey office tower designed by MVSA architect Roberto Meyer. The floor in question covers approximately 2230 square metres and features atriums and roof gardens to encourage a healthy approach to working. The space will accommodate the 160-strong team in charge of sales, marketing, distribution and customer service for the Interrail and Eurail passes that give travellers access to the services of 35 rail companies spanning 33 European countries. The lease agreement between Eurail and Wonderwoods Development was signed on Wednesday, 29 November at the construction site in the Beurskwartier district of Utrecht. The office space is owned by ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund, which is also purchasing PlayLab, four commercial spaces and the parking facility beneath both towers.
