ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund wins GRESB-BREEAM Award 2022 for Responsible Investment

During the BREEAM Summit that took place yesterday, Rick Sturkenboom, the asset manager for a.s.r. real estate’s office portfolio, received the Award on behalf of the ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund. According to the GRESB benchmark, the office fund, which invests in sustainable office space close to the Netherlands’ major intercity stations, is one of the best-performing funds worldwide in the field of sustainability and last year was awarded BREEAM certificates for its entire portfolio.

The BREEAM Awards go to projects which the jury believes offer the best balance between high performance, reproducibility and innovation. When reaching their decision, the experts also consider the extent to which the project exceeds what would normally be expected of a comparable project in terms of sustainability.

The ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund continuously invests in the sustainability of office space, as a result of which all offices have a green label (C or better) and are BREEAM-certified. In 2021 the Fund was awarded a 5-Star GRESB rating for the second year in succession. That puts the ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund among the best-performing funds worldwide in the field of sustainability.

Pieter Vandeginste, Fund Director of the ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund, said: “I see winning this Award as recognition of our efforts in the field of sustainability.
