Both urban environments and rural areas are responsible for a significant share of global CO2 emissions. We cannot prevent the current effects, but we are able to limit our impact on the growing effects in the future. That is why we ensure that our buildings and agricultural land will meet the Paris climate targets by 2045 at the latest, but preferably sooner.
To meet the objectives, we reduce CO2 emissions throughout the whole lifecycle of our investments. We use our Paris Proof roadmaps as guiding principles for our investments in low-carbon assets. In our daily business, we monitor the performance of our investments and gain insight to sharpen our portfolio and asset plans. In addition, we continue to invest in additional performance measures such as using low-carbon building materials and asset-level monitoring to further optimise the building performance.
