Sustainability performance of a.s.r. property funds rewarded with higher GRESB score

All three property funds of a.s.r. real estate investment management, namely ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund, ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund and ASR Property Fund, were this year rewarded by Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) with a higher GRESB score. GRESB informed participants last Wednesday about their sustainability performance results and published the annual GRESB Report.

The ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund was awarded a ranking in the highest GRESB category - Green Star. According to the 2015 GRESB report, 56% of the world’s property funds worldwide are now ranked in this category.

Robbert van Dijk, Fund Director of ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund and responsible for the CSR team of a.s.r. real estate investment management, says: ‘We are working hard to make further improvements to our sustainability performance and tighten up our sustainability policy. This includes enhancing communication and knowledge-sharing about sustainability, strengthening the theme of sustainability in our decision-making process and perfecting our energy consumption measuring system. We are happy to see our commitment and results reflected in the higher GRESB scores.’

GRESB is an independent benchmark which assesses the sustainability performance of property funds and portfolios worldwide. Fund managers can use the GRESB score to assess and improve their sustainability policy and performance.
